Since the original investigation, Kristian has maintained his innocence, and has been the victim of a corrupt investigation and lies throughout. A message from Kristian's Mum:
Hi Everyone
Please can I ask you all just to spare a little time and send our son Kristian a birthday card on July 5th.
As you all know he is currently in prison for something he did not do and for the most part is doing ok. I know that you all have busy lives but would ask that you spare a little bit of time and send KJ a birthday card. This will really lift his spirits to know that people haven’t forgotten him out here, especially on his birthday.
His 28th Birthday is on Sunday 5th July and we as a family are hoping to visit him. It is only 5 days after his son Kian's 1st birthday and for obvious reasons he isn’t able to attend his son's first birthday party. So we thought that getting lots of birthday cards would go some way to cheering him up.
KJ has no choice but to put a brave face on what he has to endure just now but it speaks volumes that the staff at Preston are in no rush to move him on to other prisons. The staff are merely seeing the KJ that we all know and love.
Every day in the press and on our news bulletins we see the depth and breadth of corruption that keeps putting innocent people in prison, whilst those who truly deserve to be in prison continually outwit the law. For our part the battle to clear our son's name is long, time consuming and at times demoralising, but we will never give up because Kristian is innocent and far too important to us and that will never change.
All I would just ask that in the interests of his personal safety you make no mention of the case or his former employment.
Hope you can find the time to cheer my son up on his birthday.
