After thinking long and hard about it, David Abbott has revealed to us that he has finally received a letter of apology from AC Terry Sweeney of Greater Manchester Police (GMP)
This week an Oldham teacher was cleared of sexual abuse charges in Minshull Street Court in Manchester. Niel Carr had suffered months of nightmarish worry because of false allegations by some absolutely awful young people who should now be charged with perjury and wasting police time.

After a year which has seen Greater Manchester Police (GMP) reach new lows in the stories which are too often a regular feature of our local and National press, we have to ask if GMP are out of control and if the Independent Police Complaints Commission are helping to put them there.
After a Freedom of Information request to the IPCC regarding correspondence between the Greater Manchester Police (GMP) Professional Standards Branch (PSB) and the IPCC, information has come to light that shows that GMP PSB are completely unfit for purpose.
As yet another crisis hits Greater Manchester Police (DNA Cock Up) we have to ask whether or not GMP are Fit For Purpose especially coming straight after the shooting of an apparently unarmed man near Warrington.

Over the last 4 years one things has become all too obvious. Greater Manchester Police and the Greater Manchester Police Authority will do anything to prevent Kristian's conviction being overturned.
The force that Kristian was once so proud to belong to has a lot of questions to answer in this matter. The parents of Kristian Abbott made a complaint to the then Chief Constable Michael Todd, about the behaviour of the investigating officer in the case,way back in November 2007.
Over the year David Abbott has been writing to Peter Fahy, the Chief Constable of GMP, to try to get him to take up his complaint against one officer in particular in the Professional Standards Department of the GMP. As some of you will know, the complaints include, perjury, Conspiring to pervert the course of justice and failing by his own admission to investigate the case against Kristian properly.
