Can you imagine the furore if he did apply and this complaint came to light? Especially since the complaint is about his responsibility for the way his officers in the PSB, have spent so much time and effort in preventing a complaint against Paul Barnard being recorded, and how they either showed their complete incompetence in the reasons they gave for not recording the complaint, or deliberately lied and thus attempted to Pervert the Course of Justice. Exactly what has happened with the senior officers from the MET.

Now, you would have thought that knowing about the complaint as reporters from the MEN do, they would have reported it in their rag especially as it is hot news. Well you would be wrong. Not only has the MEN steadfastly refused to report this story but it also suppresses all negative comments about Fahy on any article that is printed about him. This is corruption at its worst and the journalists involved like Scheerhout are no better than the scum from the News of The World. We are aware that at least five comments, which all mentioned the complaint of Misconduct In Public Office being recorded against Fahy,  were submitted but never published. Heaven only knows how many others have not seen the light of day due to the MEN's desperate attempts to avoid any negative publicity about Fahy and his corrupt force. Normally there are so many comments about anything Fahy says in the paper, which is more often than necessary, and most of them are negative. This time there are 12 comments most of which are semi positive and none of them mention the complaint for Misconduct in Public Office. That in our eyes constitutes a cover up on the part of the Manchester Evening Lies.

The public of Manchester have an absolute right to know what is going on in their police force and whether or not their Chief Constable is fulfilling his job. Given the monopoly position that the Manchester Evening Lies holds in the Greater Manchester Area, especially as the same group owns many of the local papers in that region, the Chief Constable need never fear that he will come under the close scrutiny that the Met Commissioner and others have come under.

Why is it then, that the MEN closes down the truth about Fahy and his Internal Affairs dept? (The PSB). The Met Commissioner, has a complaint against him referred to the IPCC stating that he was responsible for the actions of his officers who failed to properly investigate the phone hacking story and who seemed to be too close to Newscorp people. That is all over the news. The complaint against Fahy is that, ultimately, he is the person responsible under the law, for the handling of all complaints against police officers. He delegates that responsibility to his professional standards dept. That still makes him responsible for the actions of officers in that department when they are handling complaints about police officers. The GMPA refused to record the complaint saying there was no case to answer. The IPCC disagreed and said that there may be a case to answer and that the complaint should be recorded and investigated. That investigation has to be carried out by an ACPO level officer from another force, as it would be difficult to imagine an objective investigation being carried out by someone from Fahy's force. So we have a Chief Constable being investigated for Misconduct in Public Office by someone from an outside force. Front Page news you would think? Not where the Manchester Evening Lies is concerned.

Why is that? is the relationship between the MEN and GMP now so corrupt that the MEN will hush anything up on the orders of the police? Is the MEN paying police officers for information? Are the crime reporters from the MEN so far up GMP's backside that they have lost sight of the meaning of the word integrity? Take your pick they all might be true.
